I'm Aiko and I am a cosplayer in the central FL area ((Tampa/Orlando: Megacon, Jacon, Metrocon, AFO)). Theres only one problem: I'm a meganekko. And for those who don't know, that means 'glasses girl'. ((Megane means glasses)). This would seem to restrict me as to who I can cosplay as, since I am none to fond of contacts, but I decided to do something else. Instead of cosplaying as characters with glasses, I've worked to fit glasses into my cute cosplay getups. Where does Amane Misa fit into this? Read on...

 

It was a long time ago that I first started reading and watching Death Note. Around the time the manga first released in America, I believe. At first I was only a fan of Amane Misa... While my friends found her obnoxious, I really liked her. However, I was into a hair-dying craze and even though I was a GosuRori (Gothic Lolita) girl, cosplaying as her never occored to me--- Until after my dad made me bleach the pink dye out of my hair. 

 

I had been wearing my hair tied in little half-tails since before I even knew who Misa-Misa was. I also had a tennancy to talk in 3rd person. When my hair was left blonde everyone noticed my likeness to Misa immediately. I even had an outfit almost just like the one she wore when first meeting Raito. So Ive worked on my Misa-Misa cosplay (even on my low budget) and now I'm ready to debut it at Metrocon next month as "THE MEGANE MISA". But I wanted to give all you Misa-Misa fans a sneak preview, and maybe some advice on how to improve it ((on a low budget ^ ^;;)).
